Education. Entered the Order of Saint Benedict (Benedictines).

Priesthood. Ordained (no further information found). Abbot of the monastery of Fulda, 968-982. He was a close friend of Emperor Otto II. On November 8, 969, through the petition of the emperor, he obtained a privilege for his monastery by the bull "Desiderium, quom ad".

Cardinalate. Created cardinal ca. 982; his title or deaconry is not known. He was legate of Pope Benedict VII to England, where he celebrated a council in Vinton to resolve the dispute between the diocesan clergy and the monks.

Death. June 983, Calabria, during an expedition against the schismatic Greeks and the Saracens. Buried (no information found).
